Jagged Alliance 2 issue

I really hope you all can help me. I am new to linux and feel like a blind squirrel looking for a nut on a freeway.

I used your installer with the JA2 1.06 linux version of the game. I go through the installation with out issue, but when I try to start the game my screen goes blank for about 5 seconds then back to the desktop. No error message is given.

I am running Ubuntu 8.10 x64

could you start the game from some terminal emulator (xterm e.g.)?
There has to be some sort of output.

I figured it out, my stupid ass forgot to mount the 2nd cd
