UT2004 mods install

PostSat Mar 31, 2007 8:15

Hi all,

I've got the same problem each time I'm trying to install a mod for UT2004. Error messages of that nature:

loki_setup: Can't create /media/data/ut2004//RedOrchestra/Help: Not a directory
loki_setup: Can't create /media/data/ut2004//RedOrchestra/Help/: Not a directory
loki_setup: Can't create /media/data/ut2004//RedOrchestra/Help: Not a directory
loki_setup: Couldn't write to file: /media/data/ut2004//RedOrchestra/Help/RedOrchestraLogo.bmp
loki_setup: Can't create /media/data/ut2004//RedOrchestra/Help: Not a directory
loki_setup: Couldn't write to file: /media/data/ut2004//RedOrchestra/Help/RedOrchestra.ico

I'm running the installers as root (sudo) since the fs I'm using is in FAT32...

Notice the double "//" in the path mentionned.

Any idea on how I can get rid of that?

Thanks for your help.

I think the problem is the Fat32 partition, could you try to install on other partition with a different filesystem (a 'Linux' one).

Well, unfortunatly I don't enough space available on any of my ext partitions.

I've been using the ut2004.megapack-english-2.run you provide without any problem (except I had to sudo) though.

Shoudn't this mean that the other installers should run? Or is there a fundamental difference in the way you build it?
