NEW GTK2 Loki Setup

Post by Reve » Tue May 30, 2006 18:33

I just want to notice that Google has made port of Loki Setup Tools to lib GTK 2. Changes are in icculus.org CVS.

Google's instaler for Picasa is made with it.

Thanks Reve. We are aware of and we are testing the "new" Loki_Setup internally at the moment.

just to correct you:

google hasn't made a port of a gtk2 version of the loki tools
it was stéphane peter from megasteps who made the groundwork to full gtk2 support!

Too AFAIK really new: The Picasa installer has made an item in my gnome-menu, although i've installed it as user.

Not so for me.

If I install something as root, the installer creates an icon. But if I install it as user (warsow 0.1, taspring,...), no icon will be created.
Picasa made one at ~/.local/share/applications/google-picasa.desktop

Maybe its my bad, but there is no icon.

I'm using Gnome 2.14.1.

Edit : Have changed to Ubuntu 6.06 and now, they show up.
