I just want to notice that Google has made port of Loki Setup Tools to lib GTK 2. Changes are in icculus.org CVS.
Google's instaler for Picasa is made with it.

Not so for me.
If I install something as root, the installer creates an icon. But if I install it as user (warsow 0.1, taspring,...), no icon will be created.
Picasa made one at ~/.local/share/applications/google-picasa.desktop
Maybe its my bad, but there is no icon.
I'm using Gnome 2.14.1.
Edit : Have changed to Ubuntu 6.06 and now, they show up.
