I need help installing games

Post by Blurredman » Tue Sep 11, 2007 22:56

Hi, i am new to linux and i have install some games, mafia, call of duty etc

Now, i installed the games on a fat32 partition with is mounted /mnt/windows

I cannot get the settings so that i can use wine with these games because to any other user than ROOT, you can only read the things inside the partition.
When i do run wine though (without the problem above fixed), all i get is the message "Floating Point Exception". I am running Linux Mandriva 2007.0.

I have looked around and as far as i can see only Mandriva/Mandrake distro's have this problem, and they said to replace the /lib/ld-linux.so.2 file of that from another distro. I have done that, but had to repair my system as kernel fails at boot.

Any other (good) suggestions???
And can you please answer about problem about ablility to read+change the second partition if nothing else.
Please help. Thanks

Matt

Sorry Blurredman we are no Linux support forum, you better ask people who know Mandriva.
