Updating installers with MojoSetup

Postby ripper » Sun Apr 18, 2010 14:24

Hello,

most of the installers you provide are built on the LokiInstaller technology. It is quite outdated and it inherently has some problems in modern Linux distributions. I have seen that some newer installers, like Glest, are built on the MojoSetup technology, that works much better.

I would like to know whether there is some plan to transfer all the old installers to the MojoSetup technology? Do you consider it? Is there some schedule? What's your current approach to LokiInstaller and MojoSetup frameworks?

Thanks,
Kamil

Yes, definitly. We want to move to the new Mojosetup, but this tool still lacks some features.

No. We just have a todolist:

We do it as soon as we have time, there is no schedule.

Letting loki-setup die, improve and push Mojosetup and change the word Loki in our name to Linux.
