it's good and you don't have to buy the linux version
win would be enough and i think much cheaper

I have tried reinstalling but it didn't help.

everything works fine when I run Enemy Territory, so I guess opengl is working..

Hi,

You said you did install the game with the non-goty installer, is the cd also from the non-goty version.

Otherwise it is very weird, or can it be read permissions ???

Have you tried also the installer from lokigames....

http://www.3ddownloads.com/index.php3?d ... atches/ut/ this is where you can find it, ut-install-436.run is the file :oops:

Otherwise a lot of these problem are issued here: http://icculus.org/lgfaq/

BTW, if you want a great but simple ut cache exploerer (about 15K) give me a pm

have you tried to find the file with --> locate libGL.so.1 and what does locate give ???

now I get

Code: Select all

Log: Bound to Fire.so
Log: Case-insensitive search: Botpack -> ..\System\BotPack.u
Log: Bound to IpDrv.so
Critical: appError called:
Critical: Class Actor Member Owner problem: Script=48 C++=52
Exit: Executing UObject::StaticShutdownAfterError
Exit: Executing USDLClient::ShutdownAfterError
Exit: Exiting.
Uninitialized: Name subsystem shut down

I just installed UT2003 and get this error:

could not load OpenGL library

I think the errors might have something to do with eachother
:(

Have you modified your /etc/X11/xorg.conf or XF86Config(-4) file in Section "Device" , nv into nvidia and restart your X-server, in X it can with alt + ctrl + backspace.

And try from console in KDE, Gnome, fluxbox or what wm you use the command glxgears and what does it gives to you.

An other issue could be, had it sometimes, modify in /etc/X11/xorg.conf (XF86Config(-4)):

Load "glx" into

Load "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so"
