Ok well how does that help? the game will start again probbly, but once he installs the pack, wouldnt the problem ocur again? Sounds like a windows solution as well.

But seriously, is that the answer to this problem, cuz im just being lazy and DONT want to reinstall.

If you read what kratz00 has written, he is suggesting moving the per-user configuration data for ut2004 out of the way, in case something in there is causing the problem. He wasn't suggesting re-installing the actual game or the megapack.

Oh i have read it, and i have tried it. IM saying is there anything else that could solve this problem BESIDES reinstall. I just installed it and dont feel like removing it and reinstalling it, but if that is what i should be doing, then ill shut my mouth and do it.

I just found this site and its great. Will help me with lots of games i think. So far looks like you guys rule!

in your first post you didn't say anythink about what you tried or whats your problem

so you have the same problem as takedown1?

and you tried to move your ~/.ut2004 directory and you still have the same error?

as we are not responsible for the client itself
we can give suggestion only

maybe it's a grpahics driver issue (are you also on x86_64 and ati?)

better report bugs to icculus's bugzilla https://bugzilla.icculus.org/

did you use the latest megapack?

did ut2004-bin got installed in the System subdirectory?

i'm not sure about the installer on x86_64 maybe it fails

you could get the megapack (not our installer) and check if the installers fails or what else went wrong

I used the latest pack, downloaded like tuesday. I installed the game using the installer from the cd, and the pack was installed AFTER i ran the game first to make sure it was working. Maybe it is x86_64, i dunno this is the first time i have tried to use a 64bit system

you didn't answer my questions

what installer did you use?
ut2004-bin and ucc-bin only belong in the System subdir (check if they are not in the root of the installdirectory)
get the megapack and install by hand and check whats different and tell us so we can fix the installer

IdleEye

same problems here

I'm also having similar problems as wyild1. I'm running SUSE 10.0 86_64 and downloaded the 'ut2004.megapack-english-2.run' patch. After patching the game won't start, I checked that ut2004-bin and ucc-bin were in the System dir and deleted my /.ut2004 dir in /home but that didn't work either. I've also tried other patches which I downloaded from unrealtournament.com but these patches also messed up the game so I'm left clueless. Any suggstions?

really wired

just make a fresh installer of ut2004 and get the official megapack and don't use our installer

ut2004 retail install + http://0day.icculus.org/ut2004/ut2004me ... ux.tar.bz2

if this dosen't work
report this bug to icculus

I have the same problem, but i couldn't saw the 64 bit executable. So I think you made a mistake with the 64 Bit support. I will install the stand alone patch and will trie the megapack again.
