doomsday installer

we've been left hanging! is there a usable installer for doomsday available? Please let everyone know! It's a good looking game, but running it thru command line (with what seems like 2 pages of switches) is so tedious that I have switched to vavoom. If you have a working installer, I (and many other doom/hexen/heretic fans) will truly thank you!

PS- hate to post to an older thread, but I just had to ask. Thanks!

It's a simple launcher written in Python-GTK2. For me it just works; but feels kind of weak (Compared to Kickstart on Win32.)

I also hear (From the DoomsdayHQ forums..) that a rewrite of Kickstart is being done, for cross-platform compatibiltiy. When, and IF it is done, is unknown.

But yeah, until Kickstart is reimplemented, D-Launch is your friend. Make sure you have your python runtime with GTK2 support.

I have created a doomsday version with more or less relative path. I'll set up a compile box with SuSE 8.1 after my exams and publish the installer then.
