possible solution to mohaa

Post by forrestcupp » Mon Aug 14, 2006 18:00

I tried the installer for mohaa several times. The installation went great, but the game never would run. I kept getting an error that said it couldn't find the opengl subsystem. After checking out the forums, I realized this is a common problem. I tried all of the solutions given, such as renaming the /usr/lib/tls directory, etc. I also knew that I had my nvidia drivers installed correctly. There were no solutions to this problem that helped. Recently, I installed all of the dev files for opengl, openal, and sdl. Now mohaa works like a charm. I don't know if that is what fixed my problem, but I haven't done anything else that would change anything. If you have this problem, it would at least be worth a shot.

Don't ask me how to install the devs in your distro; I don't know. I use Ubuntu, and in Synaptic I searched for opengl, openal, and sdl, and I installed the ones that said dev at the end.
