Neverwinter Nights doesn't install nwnmain

Hi,

I'm have two problems. The first is that the Neverwinter Nights installer doesn't create nwnmain and nwnserver (I tried it as both user and as root). As user nwn was created, but NWN couldn't find the HoTU expansion.

I used the installers in this order:
nwn_1.29-multilanguage-2.run
nwn.sou_1.3x-multilanguage-2.run
nwn.hotu_1.62-multilanguage-2.run
nwn.hotu_1.68-german.update.run

EDIT:
Does the
Important!!!
You have to update neverwinter nights to the latest version!
for each one? Not only after the last expansion?

Exactly :)

In your case it would be:

nwn_1.29-multilanguage-2.run
nwn_1.68-german.update.run


nwn.sou_1.3x-multilanguage-2.run
nwn.sou_1.68-german.update.run

nwn.hotu_1.62-multilanguage-2.run
nwn.hotu_1.68-german.update.run

The order of installing the addons does not matter.

Use the "uninstall" script (which is located in the installation directory) to get rid of the current installation and start from scratch. Installing as user is recommended.

Sorry for that...

There is no HotU logo and no HotU campaigns...
But when I start an other campaign (NWN or SoU) then there are premade characters with HotU skills. If I want to play them I get a message saying that it is only available when I install HotU.

You English is very poor and I don't get what you are trying to say, also you input of information is lousy.

From what he said, I think he means this:

On the main menu screen (when you first start the game) the HotU image is missing from where it usually sites below the SotU image when HotU is installed. The HotU campaign files are also not there. There are the HotU premade characters though (the ones that are sort of examples that come with the game), but when using them in a module, it says that it needs HotU to be installed to use them.


On a side note, I used the installers yesterday to get it installed for myself, and it works very well. The only thing that is different to the Win version is the 'party invite' sound when you start the game, kinda cool though.

It works now. I did the same things as I did in every install (looking for command line output). Maybe there were some problems reading the CD.. The sound while installing it was a bit different, but there are no scratches on it.
