hi

i locate my libcurl in fedora7 and gain this advantage:
[alireza@localhost ~]$ locate libcurl
/opt/Adobe/Reader8/Reader/intellinux/lib/libcurl.so
/opt/Adobe/Reader8/Reader/intellinux/lib/libcurl.so.3
/opt/Adobe/Reader8/Reader/intellinux/lib/libcurl.so.3.0.0
/usr/lib/libcurl.so.4
/usr/lib/libcurl.so.4.0.0
and aftar that do this:
ln -s /usr/lib/libcurl.so.4.0.1 /usr/lib/libcurl.so.3
but i gained that error yet.

as you do not have a libcurl.so.4.0.1 file the command should be:

Code: Select all

ln -s /usr/lib/libcurl.so.4.0.0 /usr/lib/libcurl.so.3

hello dear

i type your recommendation but it said:
[root@localhost ~]# ln -s /usr/lib/libcurl.so.4.0.0 /usr/lib/libcurl.so.3
ln: creating symbolic link `/usr/lib/libcurl.so.3': File exists
[root@localhost ~]# Back to top
-bash: Back: command not found
[root@localhost ~]# View user's profile Send private message
what should i do?

you should remove the broken symlink before

Code: Select all

rm /usr/lib/libcurl.so.3

I thought you wrote libcurl is installed in /usr/lib
but there are no libcurl libraries at all?!
